I'm thinking that this is what provided the inspiration, language wise, for Barry Goldwater's
Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. Moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.
He could have written,
Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. Nor is it in the pursuit of justice.
Or,
Extremism in the defense of liberty or in the pursuit of justice is not a vice.
Or,
Extremism in the defense of liberty or in the pursuit of justice is a virtue.
Or,
I should just stop.
