Here's a link to an excellent essay written by Clifford Asness (new to me - a welcome find) debunking health care myths currently circulating in the public discourse. Aside from demolishing most of the left's arguments for socialized medicine, Asness addresses issues of freedom and tyranny, capitalism and socialism, the inefficiencies of government and the three overarching goals of "progressive" statists - power, power, power. As John McCormack in his Weekly Standard list of links writes, this is a must-read.
